Every member starts with our fire academy — classroom training, live-fire drills, and EMS certification, all paid for by the department. You bring the willingness to show up; we’ll teach you the rest.
- Minimum age 18, valid driver’s license, and a clean background check.
- Physical ability to complete academy training (accommodations available where required by law).
- Ongoing training continues throughout your time on the department.

Respond from home or work on a pager, with a stipend per call and per training — flexible around your day job.
Full-time firefighter/EMT positions with shift schedules, benefits, and room to advance.
A hands-on introduction to the fire service for ages 14–18 — no commitment required.

Do I need firefighting experience?
No — most of our members joined with zero experience. Our academy trains you from the ground up.
How much time does paid-on-call require?
Weekly training plus availability for calls in your area — most members balance it around a full-time job.
Is there a minimum age?
18 for paid-on-call and career positions; our Explorer program welcomes ages 14–18.
Are paid-on-call positions actually paid?
Yes — a stipend per call and per training session, on top of the experience and camaraderie.
